I am Valerie Gill

With over 25 years of social work experience, my empathetic approach compassionately and openly builds upon client strengths to foster a collaborative working relationship. I have diverse experience in evidence-based treatment approaches to ensure each person’s individual needs are met. My clients describe me as “skilled, experienced, direct, and caring”. As a seasoned professional, I skillfully address trauma, sexual abuse, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, grief, and loss. I work well with individuals, adolescents, families, and couples.

I am trained and experienced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a form of trauma work, Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) level I and II. In addition to my work as an outpatient therapist, I have worked in a residential home for teens, performed medical social work, served as an advocate in the court system and have taught at the college level.

It is often times difficult to take the first step. I honor and respect your courage. I look forward to sharing in your journey.
